Simple Prayer (St. Francis of Assisi)
Oh! Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love,
where there is injury, pardon,
where there is discord, let me sow faith, where
is the error, let me bring truth, where
is despair, hope.
Where is sadness, joy,
where there is darkness, let me bring light.
Oh! Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be understood as to understand.
to be loved as to love

Yes is in giving that we receive:
pardoning that we are pardoned;
dying that we are born to eternal life.
